I think the thing that weirds me out the most about this pandemic is the toilet paper hoarding. Why is that the thing everyone lost their minds over? According to Google, toilet paper was invented in 1857. Did people during the Spanish Flu epidemic also start hoarding the stuff? Or is that just our generation being weird? Another weird thing is the fact that there still isn't any toilet paper available in stores. For a while there, I couldn't buy eggs or bread, but the grocery store got a new shipment eventually. Why hasn't that happened with toilet paper? I will listen to Charmin's horrible adds with bears being way too enthusiastic about going to the bathroom every day for the rest of my life if it meant fixing that shortage. Thankfully, my mom found a solution. She ordered my family a box of those giant toilet paper wheels that gas stations and rest stops use in the public bathrooms. Which just makes it all the more weird that the normal kind of toilet paper isn't available. It's the same stuff, just in different quantities. If the companies can make the industrial size, why can't they seem to make the normal kind?
