One…uh…benefit(?) of being stuck at home all the time is that I do not have to pay for gas money. Normally, I would be driving a half hour each way between home and campus. That adds up pretty quickly in terms of gas. I have decided to use that spare money to help people as much as I can. Charity is the obvious way, but there are other things I can do besides that. If I order food, I leave a 20% tip instead of my usual 15%. I am now trying to find ways I can support my favorite online content creators, either through becoming a patron of theirs on Patreon (basically a website that lets people become patrons to content creators the way people gave patronage to artists back in the Renaissance) or commissioning art. I do not currently have a job, so I can’t give a lot, but hopefully even a little bit of extra cash will help someone.
